I second this. Affiliate selling online is so rewarding when there's nothing to ship and you wake up with sales notifications in your email.

As already mentioned in this thread, Affiliate Website Marketing is usually where people exert their first efforts into making money on the world wide web. The problem with this though is that you have to have web properties you own/manage in order to place those affiliate website links on. You also have to be accepted into the affiliate marketing program by the advertiser. Even then, placing affiliate links on websites does not mean that you will attract enough traffic to them in the first place in order for them to become lucrative and making you money online. However, it could be pulled off, if executed properly, as a first attempt in online marketing. Second after setting this up, most will then begin to develop their email marketing strategies.

I can't agree that you must have online real estate to market affiliate products. I do think it's in a marketer's best interest to have that real estate.

When you send traffic straight to your affiliate link you give away contact information that (if you have your own website) you could add to your mailing list. When you own online real estate you have the opportunity to make your visitors subscribers to your list and then you can introduce them to a variety of affiliate offers.

It's wise to build your list first - before you help other marketers build their lists.

    Hey there,

General if you're starting something. I would suggest social media or blogging is great but it's highly saturate and takes a while to rank( if you want organic search). However, social media maybe the way to go. There's Facebook, Instagram, twitter, etc. The thing I would go for is focus on one stuff and become an expert at it. Don't post content on all media at the same time unless you have an agency or a VA.

If blogging is best for you, just stick with that it. Go through other blogs, the same niche as you, and ask if you can do a guest post and vice versa...

If Facebook is doing well, then just go through same niche groups add values to groups, add people, engagement post revolving your niche > comment on your friend's wall...
the same can be said for other social media.

    Just stick with one.

Starting to make money online can feel overwhelming, but a great place to begin is by exploring affiliate marketing. It allows you to earn commissions by promoting products or services without having to create your own.

One effective approach is to focus on SaaS (Software as a Service) products, as they often have recurring revenue models that can lead to higher earnings. Look for affiliate programs that offer good support and resources to help you succeed.

For instance, many SaaS companies provide valuable tools and training for their affiliates, which can make it easier to promote their offerings. You might want to research programs that resonate with your interests and audience. A program like ReplyPilot could be a solid choice, as it helps businesses improve customer engagement and offers attractive commissions.

Start by creating content around these products, whether through a blog, social media, or even videos. Engaging with your audience about how these tools can benefit them will help you build trust and drive conversions. Good luck, and remember to stay persistent!

Finding the right way to make money online depends on balancing passion and profitability. Start by identifying your skills and interests, then research niches with high demand. Experiment with different models like freelancing, e-commerce, or content creation to see what clicks. Networking with experienced entrepreneurs can also offer valuable insights.

Start by identifying your strengths and interests. For example, if you have creative skills, consider freelancing, content creation, or dropshipping. It's also important to spend time researching the market and learning basic strategies to avoid common mistakes

Great question—I've been thinking a lot about this too. It's definitely a tough one to answer, because what works for one person might not work for another, but I do think the key is finding a balance between something you're passionate about and something that can generate consistent income.

For me, the best advice I’ve found is to start by looking at your skills and interests, and then researching ways to monetize them. If you're into writing, blogging or content creation could be a good fit. If you're more tech-savvy, things like web development or affiliate marketing might be worth exploring. Websites like Medium (for blogging) or Skillshare (where you can create and sell online courses) can be a good place to start. Both sites offer opportunities to build a presence and monetize your skills, while also focusing on topics you're passionate about.

Another tip would be to start small and experiment. You don’t have to dive headfirst into something huge right away. Try different things and see what clicks with you. And always keep learning! Things change fast online, so staying updated on trends is key.

Cheers! Looking forward to hearing more from others here.

    Hmmm.

Or you could simply ask ChatGPT to set you up a campaign that makes money (I believe that is doable with a free Chatty account) and save the expense of this guide.

    Hey there,
You're right—it can be tough to know where to start since there are so many options. The key is finding something that aligns with your skills and interests while being profitable. Here are a few ideas:
    • Freelancing: Platforms like Upwork or Fiverr are great if you have skills in writing, graphic design, programming, etc.
    • E-commerce: You can sell products through Etsy, Shopify, or even dropshipping.
    • Content Creation: Blogging, YouTube, or social media can generate income through ads, sponsorships, or affiliate marketing if you’re consistent and build an audience.
    • Digital Products: Courses, eBooks, or templates can work if you’re knowledgeable about a niche topic.
Start small, test the waters, and scale what works. Good luck!
