    I am the author of a proxy scraping and validation tool, and we use the following metrics/ tools to measure the quality of proxies:
    • protocol (http, socks4, socks5)
    • location through geolocation databases (MaxMind, IPInfo)
    • anonymity (is IP shown in header -> checked with regex)
    • latency (icmp ping, timing of request)
    • trustworthiness (abuseipdb, Spamhaus)
    • Bandwidth (IPerf3)
