Hey, here is a little post I wrote about creating passive income streams online. Hope it helps!

Passive income is when you create income streams that work on autopilot to bring in money. Passive income is ideal for creating a location independent lifestyle, as you can be paid directly into your account wherever you are in the world. Plus it feels amazing to wake up and see you that have made money while you were sleeping. It's kind of like winning the lottery a little bit everyday...

    YouTube Partner

YouTube has a partnership program which allows you to earn a percentage of the advertising revenue from your videos. Every time that someone views or clicks on an advertisement that is shown prior to, or during, your YouTube videos you can make money.
YouTube does not allow you to disclose financial information, but this option can be very lucrative indeed. You can create videos based around your passions...

Yoga bunny? Make yoga instructional videos
    Aspiring artist? Make art tutorials
World traveler? Make destination guides // hotel reviews // Vlogs
Camera shy? Make guided meditations // how to audios // inspirational videos

    eBook

People purchase eBooks because they want solid information without having to search the web for it. Everybody and anybody can create an eBook. Brainstorm ideas about things that you are good at or topics that you love. What can you explain to others? What ways can you help others achieve something? What lessons have you learned in life, or what obstacles have you had to overcome? These are great starting points for creating an eBook that can help others. If you are not confident enough to write yourself, then you can even hire a ghostwriter to create the eBook for you (head to Elance for this).

Amazon Kindle allows you to publish an eBook for free and sell it pretty much anywhere in the world. You can also sell the eBook for download through your own website or blog.

    Artwork

Passive income means once the stream is set up it all runs on autopilot, so selling physical items through a shop does not fit into that category. You can however sell your art designs, vectors, buttons or other graphic items online to be downloaded instantly in return for a fee. Etsy is a great site for this. Or you can create prints, or have artwork printed on promotional items and then have another company drop ship them for you. Cafepress are able to do this.

    Photography

Submit your high quality photographs to stock photo agencies. If your photos are approved you will receive a percentage of the sale every time that someone buys the rights to use your photos. Try Shutterstock and Getty Images.

    Fonts

You can create a font and use it as a means to create passive income. Sites like DaFont allow users to download the font and pay a donation, or pay a small fee if it is going to be used for commercial purposes.

    Music

Music will provide you with another way to earn passive income. If you are a musician then you can publish music in order to earn royalties on every download. You can also upload your music to YouTube to earn passive income from it that way.

    Adsense

Adsense is one of the most popular advertising programs in the world. If you have a blog then you can incorporate Adsense onto it, and you will be paid an amount per click. There are also other advertising programs that will pay you per impressions rather than per click.

    Affiliate Marketing

You can promote digital or physical products and earn a percentage of the sale. The best way to do this is through your own blog or website - just make sure that you offer quality products that you know your readers will love. You can also create articles and submit them to article directories along with an affiliate link. Popular affiliate marketing sites include Clickbank and Amazon.

    Writing

Some sites will offer you a split of the advertising revenue which is generated on pages that you post content onto. This can include sites like Hubpages, Associated Content, Helium and Squidoo. Note that these aren't exactly good earners, and you will probably be better off publishing content onto your own blog.

    Sell Advertising

If you run a blog then you may be able to sell advertising space on it. The amount that you can get will depend on your Page Rank, the number of visitors you receive and a few other factors. You can contact people who you think may be interested in adverting your site directly, or you can use a broker.
