I'm not that familiar with India's economy, but is that alot of money?

That's chump change to what we've got going on over in north america. Just about every week we see news stories of email/myspace/phising/etc scammers getting sued for $1-$6 million USD of violations of the CAN-Spam Act and the Privacy Act.

Today's youth doesn't have patience to acquire wealth in a straight way in order to satisfy lust and relentless greed to possess all glitzy items they can think of, they try to resort to such illegal methods..........ever increasing Cosumerism among young is making things more worse.......

    "Hacker"?

    lol!

I guess I'm a cracker on steroids then, because I find exploitable php and alert the webmasters AFTER finding their passwords so I can prove it.

Oh, and: I live in the US most of the time, spend some time in India in the summer (I'm here right now). It's great to make money there and spend it here, but I can't do much of that since I'm a student.

In fairness with the new laws ebay have introduced, and the disputes that are made through paypal, they have become just as bad as this kid. They steal and are basically thieves with the fees!

I still owe them 5 dollars for registering as a seller, I think.

Well I don't care, I'll pay it with my pension later.

Capabilities? Any twat can setup a phishing site and send spam mail to get Paypal and eBay passwords. If he found some loophole in a bank and shifted a few hundred thousand dollars then fair play to him, but he's stealing from real people, not some billionaire fatcat in a suit. Lock him up and throw away the key.

I don't think scamming people on ebay makes you qualified to work in cyber crime. It isn't exactly rocket surgery to set up a fake auction and run off with paypal money, he should be punished like any other criminal.

I agree and what's 30k+ $ compared to 5.5Billion USD from this internet crime.

OT: India is kinda strange, they call a 34-year-old adult "kid".
