1k page views, 4 clicks, 20 cents HUH, My targeted traffic isn't clicking

I spend tons of time and money promoting my (site mainly with youtube, and I get only about 4 clicks per around 400 unique! Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my design or how I can improve ad placement? I know I can gain tons more money because the people who click from the video to my site are VERY targeted so they should be interested.

Merge the ad color with the back ground.
use something like colorspy to get the color of the background of where you want to place the ad and merge them.

For the ad above the post title, the ad url color should match title url, and the background should match.. the dark grey..

Same for the one on sidebar, make the URL color same as the link color of the categories.

Remove the border of the ad by making it same as background

 

Yesterday I got no clicks with over 400 and the day before 7 with much less, adsense is just like that.

 

Blend your ads to look like content or menu's. The white background just screams ads.

 

No no no, the ads were really nicely blended in (you can probably see using google cache), and that is when I was reporting these findings. I am now trying to make it painfully obvious to see if I have better results.

 

Ok i switched around the ad placement and integration even more... I think it can't get much better than this but I probably will still get no clicks at all...

4 out of 400 makes 1% . I do not think it is that bad. But it can be 2 to 4% if you optimse everything.

 

Try to use some professional site layout, your current layout looks not good and blend ads with background and use max ads.

 

Coolvision -Did you even look at my site? Everything is perfectly blended with background and I AM using max ads!

for-I got a thousand page views (like 500 uv which is under 1 percent which kind of sucks imo)

 

I would remove adsense from your site because you are breaking the TOS. You are embedding copyrighted music videos which will get you banned. And no it doesn't matter that the videos are from youtube, you are still breaking the TOS.

 

your ads are not on the correct places and you are not getting HIGH CPC ads that's why you are getting low earning in adsense.

 

Where should my ads be then?? I thought It was pretty smart to put it right on the left where it looks like more content but ads, and on top and bottom of content!

a.That would be hypocritical of google seeing as they OWN youtube
b.You are allowed to upload copyright videos if you give credit (believe me I have tried and they just send you a message saying, you can keep it up but we're sending stats to the real owner)

 

False. It doesn't matter that google owns youtube. There are thousands of hours of video uploaded to google every day and they cannot possibly screen them all for copyrighted works. For this reason Youtube only takes down videos of copyrighted materials if they get a compliant from the owner. If a compliant filed against one of the videos you embedded you can expect google to not only take down that video but ban you from adsense. Regardless of the details you are using adsense on a site that has copyrighted works without permission from the owner, this breaks the TOS which will get you banned from adsense.

Giving credit provides you absolutely zero protection. For example I can't host a keygen for photoshop on a site with adsense and claim it's okay just because I cited photoshop as the source of the material. If you don't believe me email google, read the adsense TOS and a little research on intellectual property on the internet

 

Alright you are probably right, so you cannot use adsense on any page that has a song or a video (made by an artist)? Because I've seen a lot like that...and as for the "giving credit" I seriously got an email from youtube saying that it's ok for me to have the viva la vida video up, but that they would give video stats to coldplay.

 

Hi, cool website overall. Few things I would change :

Underline your titles so that ads and titles look alike. try to have the same font size as well (especially the titles). I would also invert the colors : right now your ads titles are the color of your texts and the text of the ads are the color of your titles.

Really, making these changes would change a lot.

Also, your ads on the left sidebar are of no use in my opinion : I am pretty sure very few people will click on them, and they just extra adds that lower your cpc overall.

Your adds are pretty good overall but if you make these changes I am confident you will get more clicks.

Hmm, I just think my site would look uglier over all if I changed the titles such as "tag" to be size 12 font.

Don't the ads on the left look like categories or something so users might click them? I usually get at least 1 click there every day, (these days im only getting 2 or 3 clicks as my views have gone down)

 

On my website www.fordclub.be I have much visitors (600/day) and like 6000 pageviews... Some days I have nothing, some days $0,5...

If you carefully check what ads Google is showing you, you will have the clear answer - why people are not clicking! I saw ads about - earning from home, 10 rules for flat belly, charity ... etc. That means your content is not providing proper keywords to Google so that Google can show related adverts.

So you can do two things at the moment. Try to be more precise about the text adding for each video and add proper TITLE and Meta Description.
