Elizabeth had her 2 month checkup today. Here are her stats:

    weight - 15.2 lbs
    length - 24 inches
    head - 16 inches

she is off the charts, not even on the curve for her age - but she is in proportion, so the doctor says everything is fine. She is more the size of a 4 month old. She also started getting her vaccinations, which made her scream - but only for about 3 minutes, then she calmed down. I gave her some baby tylenol and she's doing ok.

She slept for 10 hours the other night. Doctor was very surprised that she is sleeping so much at night - but says it's not a problem because she is gaining great and eats fine during the day.

Wow... my daughter is 9 months old and measured at 18lbs 28 inches.

I'm glad she's healthy though. Hope things continue to progress well for you... some great months ahead! :)

EDIT: Oops... My daughter is actually 28 inches now, not 24.

My son is 16 pounds and the same age. My daughter was on the big side too at this age. One thing you'll get warned about is head size. I have a big head (literally), so my kids do too. We were really nervous when they talked to us about a large head being potentially the result of a swollen brain and that has all kinds of consequences. As it turns out our doc was just being careful in referring us to a specialist and we were calmed down greatly when we met him and discussed things.

I scared the midwife when I was looking for the softspot a couple of months later. Our kids seems to lose it quite fast since they are so hard headed (they get that from mom LOL) So far no problems with our kids.

My 7 year old - when he was 2 weighed only 19lbs He is still small for his age but healthy and doing great, he is about an inch taller than our 5 yr old son and weighs an ounce or 2 less.

Gage just had his 4 month appointment. I can't find his stats right now, but he was just 12 lb 2 oz. I know his head is large, and of course, his soft spot was made during his craniosynostosis surgery since he didn't have one.

He learned to roll over about an hour after we got home from his doctor's appointment. Gage can't lift his head while on his tummy, but the doctor thinks that has a lot to do with the helmet, since he could do it before. The helmet's light, but I'm sure to a baby it's very, very heavy.

Well done, nice to have a happy, healthy baby. Just watch your posture when you're carrying her - you don't want to hurt your back :)
