2 Rottweilers and a midget dog...

Today, in my infinite wisdom, I chose to walk. Halfway down the hill to civilization...about 5 minutes...2 huge Rotts thought about eating me. As far as I could tell, there was nothing I could do. Maybe I could have kicked the midget dog---if I was lucky.

Anyway, after a few moments of terrror---the dogs decided to let me pass. They are well kept--beautiful---etc etc etc.

So---what to do? Most of the options are unsavory. Not being able to walk from my house to the road is not an option. For whatever its worth---I love puppydogs.

Although I only understood like 10% of your post... all you need to do is show the dogs that you are in command. If you act scared, or try to run away, you are doomed.

I once had a huge rotweiller run straight at me... I swear I could even see an evil red glow in his eyes... so I just stood there, showed him the palm of my hand and with a firm, loud voice said "hey! Sit!". The dog almost tripped himself and just stood there looking at me with a confused face and then turned around and walked away.

Dogs are one of the most intelligent animals on earth. Show them that you are the boss and they will respect you.

Fryman-----you think being cool-in charge- with (2) 100 lb/45kg dogs is the way to go? I got mugged a while back with 2 guns in my face and it did not bother me as much as today.

Pretty shitty situation, although bluffing your way out could be the way.

The problem is being cool enough to act like that.

I would report the incident to the authorities if the dogs were let free, in theory it shouldn't happen again and that would mean your problem solved.

Although I don't know the laws in your country.

Rottweilers are awesome dogs, but they can be aggressive and dangerous depending on how they were trained. And they simply can't be let loose, as much as any others anyway...
