I guess you target too many intelligent people with your topic. They are not fooled so easily into clicking ads.
Also it depends where they come from, in some countries, all ads must be irrelevant to your specialized topic.

I would recommend putting your adsense where the first place everyone looks at when they visit your site.

I have read it somewhere, putting ads in where people are mostly into is a good idea too.

Okay thats actually a niche site I've never seen before... Cool...

well back to topic on how to improve your CTR.....

I think you should do something about your layout and the color settings you have choosen.
The link units in the header looks like the one you get the most clicks from am I right on this?

The post ads you created looks really bad with the 2x468x60 on top of eachother. Throw that away and use a large rectangle instead.
Also place and ad block near the comment section of your blog. (comments.php)

Help DPF Grow Please repay the favor!

Maybe you could put some Content on the Page people Reading about this Topic like to Read and Not just Read Links using Smaller units could Also work Another point not insulting you but there is more text in the Ads than there is in the Articles.

Adsense! That's what you need and I'm not joking! On the home page you only have one horizontal link bar and that's it! Many people may not click through to an individual topic/post so you need to give them some adsense to click on your home page and one horizontal link bar just won't do!
Now when you click through to a topic you have two 468x60 displaying one above the other. Rather than this try one or two medium rectangles side by side, and here's the most important bit - they look too bland. I'd make the Titles the same Red as you use in other sections on the site. Also I'd make it so that each post/topic's title is in the same red. This WILL improve your CTR. Try it for a week - you have nothing to lose and all to gain.

    * Put more ad on the sidebar (160X600 size).
    * Get the same color of ad with your content.
    * Put 336x280 size ad on the top of article.

Hope these will increase your profits.

    hmm. Try this..
On your posts pages, you are showing two banner ads after post title. try using one large rectangle ad there instead of these two. And make the color of ad titles blue. This must lift your number of clicks.
