    Avast is the best antivirus software to use in home purpose. If you need a antivirus software for office, then go with symantec products (Norton).

    I happen to like Norton...They've always protected my PC from virusus. Norton isn't free but they do have a free trial you can try. I know there are some decient free versions out there, but Norton has been protecting PC's for a long time and they know what they're doing...

    Norton has high ranking in virus detection because of updated virus definitions but it occupies a lot of hard-disk space and RAM memory too.
