I have been optimizing the layout for the site and the articles and even though I have virtually no traffic I am getting quite a few clicks, around 25.

Will this continue when I get more traffic?

It might, all depends on how many people click on your ads.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think it might be against the TOS to put a title like "random articles" above your Adsense. I always thought if you did put something it had to be along the lines of "sponsored links" or something similar. Can anyone correct me?

"Sponsored links" or "Advertisers" .. not random articles. ;) That kind of ctr won't continue if google bans you. That's something I think you definitely need to Okay with google.

Actually the first three links under the Random Articles are site links. Google Ad do not appear until several inches away from the headline so I doubt there is any TOS violations.

Pretty smart design work if you ask me.

    Goog luck with that.

Google might still regard that as "misleading"... even though the real articles is above the ads.. The whole table is sort of classified as "random articles" so in a way, it is misleading.. and if google deem it as misleading, they have their reason too...

    Better be safe then sorry..

Well I will agree Google can do as they damn well please.

However it should also be noted that not all violations will results in your Adsense Account being banned.

Issues where there is a descrepancy in how ads are display for example, would simply have ad serving suspended.

    Hope this helps

    Do you have a rep??

If not you'll get a canned response more often than not.

It will tell you they cannot comment on your site specifically and you should read their TOS in determining if your site complies.

From my experience...just me....I stepped on their toes with the domain toolsforadsense.com...First I used their content on one of my pages which was mistake one and for which they stopped serving ads on this one site of mine. Not the other sites I run...

Second I stepped on their trademark 'Adsense' in my url, for which Google will not display ads

The site was up for several months and earning revenues, before Google sent me a very cordial letter slapping me upside the head. I would continue on as you are until such time as Google reaches out to touch you too lol.

Oh well......I learned quite a bit.

Anyone up for buying the domain toolsforadsense.com???
    :D
