Hello DP, I am a new member joined here, and this is my first thread. Just to introduce myself- I am a university pass out with Masters in English lit, and experience in print media and web content writing. Now, let us start with this topic, please feel free to give your opinion and advice to implement PPC in the best way.

    Pay-per-click and Internet Advertising
Pay-per-click or simply PPC has for long been hailed as one of the best internet advertising methods. But with all its potential in driving traffic to sites and increasing sales, PPC is a strategy that needs to be well thought out for the best ROI. With PPC, advertisers pay search engines and website owners to sponsor their ads. The ads contain links which lead to the advertiser’s pages- typically blogs or sales pages.

The effectiveness of PPC has been sufficiently demonstrated to prove that it really does work. But this potential has to be harnessed in the right way, if it is to be employed in meeting some marketing goals. The idea behind PPC is to get in front of the searchers who are looking for what you have to offer. So if the right keyword research is done, and the advertiser knows precisely where to have the ads placed, the marketing potential is seemingly infinite.

It is not always about conversion. More stands to be gained if you know what to do with the audience that you get. Even if they don’t make a sale, you can still establish a relationship.

    How to Implement It?

    Do Solid Keyword Research

It all starts with your keyword research. PPC proves to be very expensive if you are unspecific about whom you are targeting. It’s never about casting your net wide- it’s about casting it where you know the catch will be greatest. Do your research intensely, and make sure your sponsored ads correlate with all the key phrases that you have singled out.

Create An Attractive and Informative Landing Page

Create a landing page to receive all the traffic you attract. You might need to create more than one, depending on the diversity of the keywords you used in your PPC campaign. Ideally, these landing pages should offer information, not a sales pitch.

    Offer Meaningful Resources

Offer meaningful resources, such as free e-books and mini-courses. These offerings will give your visitors something to go away with, which might more effectively inspire a purchase. You additionally build a subscriber list with all those prospects who are truly interested in what you have. This will validate your PPC investment, since you will have gained something in the end.

The above are just a few of the effective ways to implement your pay-per-click landing page. Please feel free to give your suggestions for getting the best result of PPC.

    Thanks

It looks like most major PPC companies are getting away from displaying relevant to the keywords ads. They know that webmasters do keyword stuffing, which really creates a crappy browsing experience for an average user. Instead, the PPC companies are heavily relying on a user's browsing experience. In other words, if the last page a user visited was something about cars, chances are when they come to your page, all the PPC ads on your page will display car ads, instead of relevant to your keywords ads.

Absolutely nailed it, this post by OP may have made sense 2 years ago, these days the ad's are based upon the individuals search history & interests. But, we still see web masters making web sites based on popular search terms, even worse based on what they believe will yield the highest paying clicks. Both of these are the wrong way to go about publishing on line, create something interesting, a web site that actually offers the user something... The web is no longer about key word stuffing & lengthy articles written by amateurs - based on subjects that they have no knowledge about. I'm glad that these web sites & article sites have gone ass up! Do something you enjoy & don't focus on solely writing, text & blogs.
