Ah mate - I thought you had more taste...

Don't get me wrong - I like my hiphop (Good hiphop), but all this gangstar BS is getting old now - fiddy can't rap for shit (All he does is mumble) and his lyrics are shit too - rimms, women, big screen tv's, crack - that's all he ever talks about. :|

I rekon he should get out more.

Funny coming from a Sugababes fan :p

    Try these lyrics..

    http://www.seeklyrics.com/lyrics/50-Cent/How-To-Rob.html

theres no way dre - being the best producer + eminem - one of the best entertainers would have him in their fold if he wasnt good.

Though, I saw him live in a small venue in central london a whileback and he is not brilliant live. But the music is still unbelieveable + in a club you want something to get down to, not sit and take notes :D

Yeah, but we should at least give him credit for pricing his value to the entertainment world approximately in the right range (Canadian cents, of course, not US).

    Stop chatting BS ;)
Honestly, I think they're contrived and they advocate gun use. Lame. :|

Listen to Common or Kayne West. Musically much better, still excellent to groove to, and they aren't always talking about bustin' a cap in yo' ass.

Personally, I prefer my UK based Hip-Hop and stuff like the roots, dilated peoples, J5. You can't tell me that those guys aren't good to dance to in a club. And they aren't twats. Like 50 Cent.

If fiddy aint great live, IMO - he ain't great full stop. Live shows are where you really see how good an artist is.

Anyway - if you really like the more aggressive side of hip hop, I would reccomend SkinnyMan - One of the UK's best MC's. Better than Eminem :D

He got through a *car*. Yes, he still got shot in the end. And it was damn painful, but it wouldn't have been lethal unless the bullet was very lucky. It went through 2 sheets of metal before it hit him.

"I got shot 9 times. By shot I mean photo shoots. I did one laying down on a bear skin rug. It tickled. I mean it tickled in a hardcore gansta way."
    -50 cent

DA is right. 50's big claim to gansta is getting shot 9 times. I mean that's not soemething you really do. That's something you have done to you. I could drive to the ghetto wrapped in a Confederate Flag yelling racial slurs until I got shot several times and then that would make me an instant thug.

lol. So all it takes is money to judge people?:D

I listen to his music, but I'm going to laugh anytime I see a guy wearing a scarf or fur I don't care who it is. There's no amount of muslce that any guy can have that can pull that off.

The whole song is a joke, its supposed to be, it takes a shot at all the hip hop artists (calling missy & big pun fat and saying tyson got robbed for example), saying their getting lazy and that he's little clique will take over the music scene + there is alot of political (music industry politics) comments, comedy, and a catchy chorus.
And he said all of this when he was a nobody.. not a bad prediction considering the size of his brand these days. Films, games, music, ringtones, clothes, trainers, probably badges and action figures too.

I'll rob Boys II Men like I'm Michael Bivins
Catch Tyson for half that cash like Robyn Givens
I'm hungry for real im bout to stick Mister C
That nigga still eatin off Big's first LP
I had Busta and the whole Flipmode on the floor
He asked me if I had enuff I told him "Gimme Some More"

Actually listen to it before you say its contrived. ;)

Kanye is a brilliant producer, but as an entertainer and his "own" stuff pales compared to the stuff he's produced. His music is much more palatable for you sugababe loving daily mail readers. Still good though.

*most* hip hop artists arent saying that are actually shooting people, if you listen closely you will see how few actually advocate violence.
    So, in eminems words."I don't promote violence, I just encourage it" ;) - again a j.o.k.e.

Same situation some of the UK acts are the biggest twats of all and usually there is much more advocation of violence in UK grime right now than most US acts. Which again considering the gun murder rate is extremely low in UK smacks of the same BS that you dislike so much.

Not necessarily. For example: Jimmi Hendrix was going crazy and realy depressed before his last few gigs and everyone says he played like shit..

Ive heard the sugababes are really good live.

Ill check out your links but I dont have any particular preference, I like a bit of everything..Though Id still rate jungle mcs as being the best in the UK generally.

That's right, The criminal activities that fifty got involved in made him the lowest step on the ladder of the criminal hierachy!
And then trying to promote himself as a conquerer of all international criminal groups, such as the chinese and so on in his video...don't know even the name of that lame video where he's showing himself as an oversight on all criminal engaging groups.

Good point here...being shot 9 times only proves he was a victim and not being a gangster and also that he got shot by a small caliber handgun.

First the guy is rapping about *don't be a wangsta* or something trying to be something you are not and not knowing his previous lyrics or songs i thought this guy was holding his feet to the ground. I liked the song *in da club* that really had a catchy tune to it and after this i believed that song *don't be a wangsta* came out.

And then you see him in his rediculous video as the one taking over all sorts of international crime activity engaging groups.

The more money he is making the more he is loosing his head! But that's money for you;) Some people are supceptible for this.
