Whatever you do, DO NOT ASK YOUR VISITORS TO CLICK THE ADS. That's the first rule. Other quick tidbits:

-- turn off borders and make the ads blend with your site (same background color, same text color, same link color)
-- place the ads above the fold and follow Google's "heat map"
-- use the right kind of ad format (try to avoid "banner blindness")
-- test different layouts to find what works best for your pages

What's your URL? We might be able to give more hints if we know what you have going and what is or isn't working.

Wow it is a really, really ugly forum template. And not only that, but it's not very good for Adsense. If you don't want to change forum templates, you could always try inserting a 468 banner after the first post. No one is going to bother clicking on those two 250 blocks at the bottom. But if you're really serious about making money with Adsense, I would change the template to VB or something similar. You're just making it hard on yourself to make any money, guy.

I would suggest getting rid of the tree in the background...

    Bit unfair :)

I would suggest moving your ads to a better location, at the moment they are well below the fold of the page so users will never see them.

    https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html

Have a look at the above for the "hot spots"

This is a start for you.

I think jack's first assessment is dead on. Sadiqbaig should forget about ads for now and fix his forum. I'm willing to bet the reason why no one clicks on his ads is because they don't even want to be there in the first place. Text is overlapping, everything's centered, there's really nothing that makes me think "I'd like to explore the rest of the site".

Tongue in cheek, of course, heh heh. But that forum is pretty cumbersome. If he really wants to make any decent money off it, he should definitely think about changing the template. I know it's cool to have a different looking forum, but sometimes that clashes with practicality, and practically speaking, his forum is very unwieldy.

I was just wondering, is it against the AdSense policies to ask your visitors to click the ads?

    I hope you were joking...

Just wondering, why is your homepage basically a blog? Wouldn't it be easier to go straight to the forum?

Put the ads on top. Since they will be the best looking part of the site they will probably get a lot of clicks. Just kidding... I use firefox and your links are overlapping the posts. Please take some time to fix how the site looks so I can learn what wap is!
