5k posts banned member big surprise

is banner, 2 days prior I wont his avatar space for a month, he didn't have it for even a day, and was going through my PM's and decided to check if he was using it, and to my eyes his banned.

Now would the right thing to do be a paypal dispute?

 

You can talk to him first. If its a short time ban, then you can continue your subscription from that day.

Otherwise, its a wise decision to claim your money back.

 

I have no way of contacting him, no MSN, AIM, YIM, e-mail nothing.

Did you try the link on the page to contact the administrator ?

 

I really do wonder why a member of that status has been banned or what he did to be banned, lets hope it was a mistake for his sake and reputation.

What you could do is do a search for his username and maybe find a thread with one of his sites or soemthing, from there you can use the site to find out his email to contact him.

I don't think its a mistake. But he could ask for mercy to Shawn to unbanned him . Shawn is really open to people who are really serious to change and get reinstated to the forum.

 

Thats just it, I don't know how serious this guy is about being here, he obviously had to do something wrong to get banned.

 

Sometimes you unknowingly do something and your infractions pile up. And as soon as they hit 10 you get banned.
It could be anything. We will need to hear it from Mods/Admin. No fun in speculating.

 

Yeah I had 1 infraction for doing basically nothing really wrong. I was posting to fast though my posts where of value to the community......

 

How much was the avator. I paid $40 for my sig. I then found another thread of his somewhere else that said he will do deals if you have it for more than a month. So I PMed him to see how much it would cost if I got the sig link for 3 months and paid him a 1 of fee. He didn't reply. I'm glad I didn't do it now. $40 is bad enough. lol

 

Anyone can commit mistakes, get infractions and get banned. There are no chosen status when it comes to the rules.

Hmmm, is a bummer but like they say - they can sneak up on you. It could have just been a couple of mistakes repeated a few times. If he had done anything really serious, we would all have heard about it. I wouldn't worry about your sig links etc - I think you will be fine, and all will be fixed up when he is back

 

At least this is one place that all are equal. In the real world the social equivalent to 5000 posts would probably get you out of a speeding ticket or some other infraction.

Here it doesn't matter what your social status is.. make a mistake, get caught, pay the consequences... it's kind of refreshing
