How the ****** is this possible? We've just continue our file hosting service after some big downtime (we've added more servers). Now we're back in business with a very very low CTR.

I have check my Adsense stats of a few months ago and I had an avarage CTR of 3%

Anybody with advice would be welcome :)

    Cheers

Do you have a lot of returning visitors? Then they're probably used to the ads, and not willing to click them.

Looking at them there very well blended.
How about going for the oposite aproach and add borders, and really make them stand out. Maby it would draw your eyes to them, as thats the first thing people should see, and when i look the first think i see is the upload box.
    GL,

well, it work great now. I decided to show NOT-BLENDED colors and now the ctr is more higher. Strange thing to me, but that doesn't matter as long the ctr is good, my mood will be good too ;)

Did you change your link color to blue? If so , that's it! Always, always, go blue for the link color - that has been my experience. If you want to rotate your ad, throw in some banner ads once in a while to reduce blindness, but always have blue on your adsense ads.

Yeah man... I had the link color orange, but i changed it in blue, so now the ctr is much better.

Any more ideas how to get a higher ctr with my file hosting service? Currently i have a ctr of 2%. I want to raise this, but how?

Considering your placement, I would remove the "adevertise on this site" from your ad. It's a setting in your adsense account.

Next, I'd weed out low paying ads using the competitive ad filter (btw you have a lot of competitors advertising on your site). I know Google says the highest paying ads are displayed, but I've experience otherwise.

Last, maybe try adding a paragraph or two of text to try and optimize for higher paying keywords.

Yeah i know I have to filter the low paying ads, but I don't know how I can find out which are low paying ads, that's the main problem. If I know which ones are low paying, then i can block them.

I am experiencing similar problems on my blog at www.chovy.com

The traffic is pretty high 14k visits per day, pretty random search strings as I cover a variety of topics...so not a lot of repeat trafffic. I'd like to improve my earnings with adsense here.

Well, the CTR varies between anywhere like your figure to some even getting upwards of 20%. It depends on many factors such as placemnet of ads, the subject matter, etc.
