    Go Thunderbird.

I use Outlook at work. Recently bought a Firewire back up drive which is scheduled every hour. Here's what happens occasionaly. If the backup starts right during downloading of an e-mail (very likely since I turn around 100+ a day) the whole system shits itself and the weirdest thing is that then all my FireFox (?!!!) bookmarks and settings are gone.

I have no f-ing clue what FireFox has to do with all that but it's happened 4 times now and it's totally ridiculous.

Will go Thunderbird in the office soon as well. Just need to find a way to export and import Spambayes training settings.

I only use online mail dont trust downloading them lol. My heartfelt sypathies. We need to start a webmaster campaign against anything M/S. Even so far as blocking browsers.

Have you tried all four that are on that page? Would be interesting to hear if any of them managed to rescue anything.

Umm no!!! perhaps your software is great, but no software is able to read from the corrupt DBX file. as windows, Big brother of MSOE, doesnt let any software to read from the DBX files.
