A Great Way I Used to Gain Facebook Fans

I wanted to get a lot of Facebook Fans so I did a little contest for the month of August. I started with 130, and by the end of August, I got 550!

What I did was have a contest where I gave away an Amazon Gift Card for the first person who appeared on the people who like my fan page area. Whoever referred him to like my facebook page also got a gift card.

Basically I told all of my fans to invite all of their friends for a better chance to win!

I'm doing it again this month, but I'm giving away something else.

have cross in my mind to increase my fans I create contest,.... but not fan pages it's a group.[wondering can create just like you said]

this is good.. but im kinda lost.. the 1st person that shows up? and how can u actually tell who referred who?

 

I ask them who referred them and when they answer I make sure they're a fan before I give them the card. If they don't give me an answer, then I just don't give out the second card.

 

Thanks for the advice, but surely this traffic would be temporary? A Digg story that linked back to my website increased traffic to my website, I went from normally having 20 - 30 guests online at one time to like 1500 guests online but it was short lived. Although if you are doing a contest people might stick around for any contests in the future.

 

That sounds like a pretty good structure. I have been trying to figure out how to build a contest like that for a film I am working on. Seems like a simple and easy structure.
