It would depend on how many videos and how many hits you get per day.

 

very little if your going to embed videos
just create an addon domain in cpanel
you can just use a name.blogspot type account if you really wanted to

its always good to add a link back to videos that may have some type of copyright issues like this below

even though the directors of the show and the guy himself uploaded the clips to youtube for users to view and embed on myspace/blogs etc

im sure companies which funny commercials i have added to my blog wont mind me giving their company free advertising either

 

great article! i only had two small problems.

1. when i changed my custom post titles to /%postname%/, i get a "page not found" result when i click on links now.

2. (Google Coop) "...Google will then generate a chunk of code for you, which you can paste in place of your current Wordpress search. Viola!"

I tried the option for returning results on a google hosted page, but there were no ads for me to get clicks from on that page. then, when i tried adding the two code chunks to include search results in my site, the search function returns a "fatal error" because I have no idea what URL to use in the first code chunk in relation to the wordpress directory structure.

any guidance, please?

 

You need to edit your .htaccess and make it writeable (CHMOD TO 777)

As I understand the key promotion is made with uploads to YouTube. Also, I'm going try stumblexchange.com and will share my results here too.

By the way, what about legal side of taking someone video and "rebranding" it with your own logo?

 

my youtube promotion didnt work at all! no traffic has been from youtube or direct type ins..
i branded 30+ videos too..

i have gotten about 20 visits this month from the youtube links to this video feature where the top 5 referring links are shown

yeah, i wouldnt suggest branding the videos. takes too much time and havent seen results.

 

Didn't take me any time at all. Windows Movie Maker! I didn't put a logo. Just a title here and there.

and it has 2700 plays and traffic hasnt increased at all.
ive branded about 30 videos or so..

pretty frustrated. took me a long time

Great post and rep added! Just one question on this point though: if you've not branded those videos and uploaded, how do the viewers know about your site? Do you mean you stop uploading by now?
