A Question About Site Updating

I know that alot of sites also have their own Twitter or Facebook page, and that whenever they update something on their main site (like, the "Daily Update News"), it also updates on Twitter/Facebook.

I just wanna know, what kind of system are they using for this? Is this some form of CMS?

Or are they just copy pasting their messages to Twitter and Facebook?

I know I may be typing a little un clear here...but you'll have to forgive me XD

    Thanks in advance <3

Hey, I have seen websites in which, their tweets are displayed in a separate column. But I don't think that the reverse is true. I mean, I don't think that - if you add a new post in your blog, it will be added in twitter also - I don't think that's possible.
And ya, if you wanna know how that's done, then it's simple, they'll be using some websites service - you'll find that websites link at the bottom of that particular column or whatever it be - just visit that website which in which you found those tweets thing, and look for a link at the bottom or top of those tweets.

Maybe is copy/paste of the updates but I don't think it's a very smart idea to send every new post to social bookmarking or twitter and facebook profiles.
