    Hello all!

I am new here. I discovered this website through a friend, and I am very happy about that! It's an awesome place!

I would like to open my own online bookstore eventually and for that, I need funds. I write poetry, and I was thinking about monetizing my website. I created a small survey. The idea is to have subscribers pay an annual fee in order to receive a weekly or bi-monthly newsletter in their email inbox with a few poems from me or others accompanied with some options (contacting the author privately, voting for the best poem of the newsletter, etc etc). I would also like to transfer like 10% of the fees to charities.

If you wish to help me, please send your answers and feedback to admin@soulpoetrysite.com.

    1) Would you like to receive poetry in your email inbox?

    2) If so, how often, and how many poems in each newsletter?

    3) Would you be willing to pay a small subscription fee per year?

    4) If so, how much would you pay?

    5) Do you have any ideas to offer?

    Thanks a lot!

most of us are already having too much email problems, i guess no webmaster will be willing to take emails.

you are talking about paid emails. that's actually not a bad idea for poem lovers. you will get a few poem lovers with time.

if they like your emails, or poems, then probable they will want it as regularly as possible.:)

Tyler Banfields got the right idea imo.

Put ads in your newsletter /on your site and give it away free. much better response rate.

after a while, you may be in a position to start a 'premium' newsletter which was paid for.

Actually, You are asking this question in wrong place. Here all buisness webmasters are doing them buisness and no one would show interest in it .. sorry to say this but we are one of you. Money money money that what matters. try to fetch common people who surf internet. Like college teens, office junky, all common peolpe in short people who are not webmasters. i bet you will earn enough and start a website keep everything free for some time . gather a good traffic. have contact with visitors. alot of people search for love peoms on net to paste it in them greeting so i guess you would do some buisness through adsense. TEST TEST TEST is a major rule of web industry. so have a fun.. Best of luck. go go go go and test it.

    I agree with Kaustabh.

I don't think many people are going to pay for a subscription, and on top of that, although I love poetry, I wouldn't care to read it in my email. I have to be in the mood, and if I am in the mood to read some online, I would probably search for them myself.

I think you should think of ways to make money on poetry. Try to get brainstorming and look into online revenue models to help you out.Good luck.
