    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

A very good but illegal blend of adsense.

That's some fancy blending you got there. I would like to see how you are going in a couple of weeks once Adsense team views it though. :)

I'll give them credit, it's certainly very ingenious. But it's also a violation of the tos. It's not worth a fast buck to get banned from AS.

Not sure on the violation - they do have a border around the ad as google requires.

I'm pretty sure if Google was to look at it then it would get supended or terminated. As mopacfan said, I wouldn't rish my account to make a few more $$$ for a couple of weeks.

Hmm, nice, but I would worry about many accidental clicks which lead to low
conversions which lead to smart pricing which leads to ... well, nothing ;-)

Google would surely frown upon the "Sponsored Links!" text aswell.

    Actually you're wrong.

I kind of get the sense that the spirit of Google's rules is to not drastically change the layout of the page to accommodate ads. Rather, the ads are supposed to be small, unintrusive things that aren't referred to at all.

By that POV, I would say that building a big box and writing that stuff about recent posts, which is nonsense just to go along with the ad box, would be a violation.

But of course Google knows people design sites specifically to blend with their ads, and that's how the marketplace has naturally evolved, and they have to let a lot of stuff slide. So it would be interesting to see what they thought of this. Spirit of the law vs. reality :)

I had one doubt about "sponsored links" but thanks to GeorgeB its clear now.
I don't see any other way in which this site might be violating the TOS.

If you feel so then tell us where its going wrong.

ps: Its not my forum :D or "my friends" or anyone I have heard of :)
