about link pages

I have just finished a website, and I have a little problem.I suggested the website to a lot of reciprocal directories, and just 'thrown' their links on a separate page called 'parteners.html'.Is this good?I mean,is this recommended or should I just try to insert the links in diferent pages throughout the website?Keep in mind that my goal is not to bring them visitors, but only to be accepted into their directories.
Also,is there a lenth limit of how many links I should have on the 'parteners.html' page?
Interesting links I will try to place on the website, but for the moment nothing is interesting enogh to deserve a special place:).

Most web directories have scripts running that will check whether or not their links are still in place and will remove or add the "no follow" attribute to your link if they can not find their links.
It is recommended that you keep the links on your partner page and not remove them.
Also, make sure that your partner page has been indexed in Google. I do not allow reciprocal listing on my directory if the page that my link is on is not indexed in Google or does not have a pagerank. I am sure other directory owners do the same.
I would suggest that you have a link to your partner page from your homepage.

yes,i have a link to the partners page from the homepage.the problem is that i have no rank,it's a new site, not even the homepage.
anyway, the questions were, weather it is a good ideea for SEO and for those directories to have a partners page that hold a large amounth of links, for example i have about 15 and in a few days i think i`ll have about 50.is this good?for my 'partners' and for SEO?
thank you for your answer ablaye

ablaye is quite right, you should definately make sure your parners page is accessible from the homepage and I would also add a link to it from your sitemap page too.

As per number of links... I would say that it is generally better to have less than 100 links per page (including any internal site links on your site navigation menus).
