About to build a new Social Networking, please suggest!

Hi,

I used to run a social networking site but it was nothing different that what is already out there... I am thinking of creating a new one and offering a new "approach" to networking, I need your suggestion guys, can you share some thoughts of what "new things" you would like to see in a social networking site? Any input will be highly valued for the proposed project....

Whatever you do just ensure that the site is easy to use and has some uniqueness.

Thanks for the input, uniqueness is what I am after, I just need people's input and what they will suggest as a "feature"... I am looking for anything that will make my social network stand out and get to be different...

 

Honestly speaking, it will have to be HIGHLY unique to garner any sort of interest. Most social networking sites like myspace, facebook and others already have thousands of features, and to top them is not an easy task. And that's being polite.

However, it would be quite beneficial if you could create a social networking site for a smaller group of people, or rather, a smaller and specialised target audience. What that audience will be....is something you will probably have to rack your brains on.
