Do you understand that there is no FREAKING connection between terrorism or terrorists and Iraq? The Iraqi war is illegal and our friends, brothers and sisters are in harms way and dying every single freaking day unnecessarily?

Before you go off and call any of us unpatriotic get the facts straight. It is unpatriotic to allow someone put your child in harms way for no reason and it is idiotic to still beleive that you are doing the right thing. The right thing to do is to replace our existing corrupt, strongheaded administration with one that values life and not oil.

An one other thing. America is not addicted to oil america is addicted to TV!

 

To some, patriotism has connotations of self-sacrifice, implying that the individual should place the interests of the community above their personal interests, and in extreme cases their lives.

With the best interest of the community in mind, I don't think beating young Iraqi teenagers is helping any. In fact, I'd go as far to say - it's helping create more terrorism, helping motivate more terrorists, helping give the community a bad reputation and even helping in the murder of more innocent people.

So who's the real patriot?

I highly doubt that someone was killed, as it would have 10x more hype and media attention (even though just regular 'beatings' makes it all over the news). If someone was killed they would've said so in the news, and the article title, not an ambiguous remark at the bottom. If someone was killed by the soldiers though, then I apologise and I was wrong.

I'm not replying anymore in this thread though as noppid has kind of stolen the show and I don't really want to be associated with some of the comments he's now coming out with.

 

Blitz, not everything gets shown to the media. Just because you do not see it or hear on the evening news does not mean it is not happening. When in war a lot of the facts get covered under pretexts.

I see alot of assertions being put forth as facts.

However, there are no facts here. All we know is small people threw stones at British soldiers. I have seen many adult small people that look young, but are in fact adults. Do we have no proof that these were infact children. Have they been Identified? Are children age 10 to 18 not cabable of killing or intent to kill? Wouldn't hurling stones at your neighbor be considered attempted murder if you hit him in the head or your kid did?

A shot rang out. Who fired it? I can't tell. Maybe it was a child? Maybe it was attempted murder?

If you were attacked in an attemt to kill you, would you not defend yorself through the entire adrenelen rush till you came to your senses? I hope so for your families sake!

See how speculation works? There are two perspectives when there are no facts.
