Hi all i have a high traffic website with over 10 000 unique visitors a day and round 40 000 pageviews.

I am just making 30 USD/day i think that can be lots more, but i have no idea how to place my ads better.

    You can see it on

    Hey, bface.

To be honest, I'm surprised you're even making 30/day with this kind of site. It's a download site, where people come, take what they want, and leave. $30/day on this, from 10k uniques/day is pretty good! I'm not sure if your ads can be optimized anymore. But to take full advantage of your impressions, I would sign up for a CPM ad network. Maybe put it in place of the skyscraper, and another leaderboard at the bottom of the page. With 40k impressions/day, that should bring in another extra $20/day.

What is your least effective ad placement? It's the skyscraper, isn't it?

I'm not sure a site of this type is going to earn much more than you are. You are not really attracting high paying advertisers.

The site is indexed pretty well, has some decent backlinks and acceptable PR. Why not use this site to push traffic to another site? Not every site you manage has to earn the big bucks. Simply driving traffic from the site to another could change your whole outlook overnight.

My suggestion would be to remove the gray border from your ads, so that they seem like content to your members. Make the ads blend in the best you can, so that users dont instantly say "Thats an ad, I am not clicking it".

Other than, like I have told many other members... Use meta and alt tags in your sites template. This way every page has keywords that are of a high rev on every page. Google will pick up on these, and you will have a better ad for your visitors.
