What do you think of my ad placement?
Do you have any ideas in how I can improve?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kieran

    Hey Kieran,

I think that your ideas are great as far as matching the ads with the rest of the text on the page. Great placement of the Submit Article button too...however.

I think it will be difficult to keep people on your site long enough to click ads.

It's clear as day that this page (not to knock your whole site) has been made for adsense specifically.

I think you should add an article above the fold, or at least the beginning of an article.

    Content, content, content.

Remember you have to give a visitor a reason to want to browse your site long enough to trust you. Only then can they believe that you might be able to point them towards a quality resource.

That is, after all, what the ads are supposed to be.

All told, though, I think that your site looks good and I love the ideas you have about mixing in the ads....more content though.

I couldn't agree more. You've got a good layout and idea, just try to tone it down a little bit so your site isn't screaming "Made for AdSense!"

That was exactly my thinking. I saw the domain and I was like "oh sounds like another site made for adsense" and the first glimbs proved me right.

I as user would leave your site within seconds.

If this was not your intention (building a site for adsense I mean) then you need to work on your layout, design and you need much more content.

How can I get decent CTR rates and not make the site scream MFA?

First you need to start your site with content then and ad.
Not ad button few links ad no content

You should get your site a nice design this would help your task as well.
A site with no design what so ever (and no real content) often looks like it was just put up for adsense in a few hours.

I have made a few changes, removing ads right at the top of the content and added at least 500 more articles.

    What do you think now?

It's looking much better. You might consider replacing the two ad units underneath your contents with a single Large Rectangle (336x280) unit with no border. This would make that column flow very smoothly.

I made the site a couple of days ago and I want to start prmoting it when there are a fair amount of articles on there so people will recognise the site as a resource, not just a place to get a couple of random articles.

Do you think I sould start prmoting it now, if so what should I do?

The ads look good. Congratulations. I'm sure you'll get a lot of clicks (traffic first).

You can remove the advertise on this site part of the ad. It is in the google adsense options, under set-up maybe?

It takes 48 hours to update.
Anyone got any more tips on how to improve the site for visitors and revenue-wise?
