Ad placement for forums

Hi,

What do you guys think of the ad placement for this Electronics and Computers Forum?
Will they attract the attention of my visitors???

I would remove the top horizontal ads. I dislike forums putting them up there as it gets in the way of navigating the site. Also in this case it throws off the header as well. Just my opinion.

 

That leaderboard text ad on top will get you quite good CTR but will piss of many visitors accidentaly clicking on those ads

 

Yeah, its swings and roundabouts...

You may get higher CTR with the top horizontal ad but this may actually put visitors off and make them stop viewing your site meaning you wont have as many clicks so the CTR in the long run may be lower.
With forums you have to think about the members, and the members only. Not the $$ in your pocket. I personally would remove the top ad.

 

I think its good. YOu will have great CTR and many people might be click your ads. So far, just get as much traffic as you can. I believe your forumer will click it sometimes.

 

Thanks for the tips. From what I get so far, the leaderboard ad should be removed because it is annoying???
