Ad placement for my media website

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by RFlame, Apr 3, 2008.

Just launched it quite recently, have gotten nearly 400 unique visitors, posted it on a bunch of forums, got it indexed by google...I think I covered almost everything. Thing is now, I'm getting something like 1800 ad views and barely any clicks. Is my ad placement any good? What am I doing wrong?
    My website is http://www.rixstuff.net/

search for and use the adsense heatmap.
adsense ads should be located above the content (or within with float:left) and on the menu on the left you should use adlinks.
    use also google search.

use the 336x280 format for above the content (and after)

    good luck

    1. The colors you're using on the site are too dark. I had to look to find where your ads are.
    2. Your ad background colors should be the same color as the background. They should blend in.
    3. The links are black and I cant even see them.

Try placing the ads between posts.

I prefer to have bright link color for the ads and one link ads format on the left, one link ads in bar format on the navigation and might be one sky (160x600) format on the right or one content ads format in the foot section. just a simple suggestion.
