    Hi

    I just started my blog and it's not even a week old. Please give me suggestions on where to place adsense ads. The link is in my sig. I have some up already, but I'm having trouble with the placement. Any suggestions and help will be much appreciated. Thanks

    Right below your Fresh Geeks banner. Skyscraper on sidebars. After First Post

    Well you could try some incontent ads.
    Also your ads are greyed out, I didn't even notice them. I had to look for them. And though blending ads is a good technique, when you notice nothing at all, and the ads are not incontent (in sight), then I doubt that you would get many clicks.

    I'd try to higlight the url of the adverts to be the same colour as your hyperlinks, or red or blue if you want them to stand out.

    I'd swap the position of the amazon and google ads, therefore making them prominent. (I find that adsense ads give a much better return than amazon).
    I'd reverse the colours of the adsense ads (green url black text)

    so far the site is looking good. I'm not a big fan of the big Google add on the left like that. Isn't that area meant for important information? On the other hand you will probably get more clicks like that! I love your word press theme it's great looking. You have a lot of topics to so it hides the ads really well.

    Keep up the great work!

    EDIT: I might see why it's looking a bit messed up. Your Google add is placed to high if you refresh the page and look at it you can see it actually cover an arrow. Add a <br/> or two and see if that helps.

    <br/><br/>

    </li>		<li>						<div class="textwidget"><script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "pub-2872083749061843";
    google_ad_width = 120;
    google_ad_height = 600;
    google_ad_format = "120x600_as";
    google_ad_type = "text_image";
    //2007-10-16: computer, internet
    google_ad_channel = "2226620549+5882555384";
    google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_link = "339900";
    google_color_text = "000000";
    google_color_url = "339900";
    google_ui_features = "rc:6";
    //-->
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
      src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script></div>
    		</li>		<li>	<br/>
    Code (markup):
    DOUBLE EDIT: I noticed all you Google add is just overlaying the code that's already there hmmm that's odd

    Yeah I sort of agree on that, but as it was a big amazon ad before, I'd have the google one over it.
    Personally, I'd keep the ads low profile until you build up a user base. (I'd definately have some). I think your balance looks well, and though not mega optimised to make the most money, it won't scare your users away.
