    Hi,

    Just started this blog http://internetdealing.blogspot.com and would like to know what you guys think about the ad placement.
    I have a square box on the right and a standard banner on the footer.
    Which ad format/placement works best for blogs?

    Try ad formats within posts. Also try to embed them and use Google's site Heatmap for Effective and hot spots on the site.

    The half banner at the bottom flows off into the other dark colored table, you should fix that. And I would stick a banner at the top of the page, right above your most recent post.

    You should try adding some ad units in the content area so that its more visible. People tend to miss ads on menu bars.. especially when theres a lack of other site links there.

    try adding link units, you can add three per page and if you have used up your allocation of ad boxes as it seems you have then they double the ad presence on your blog. that and they are much less intrusive so they don't disrupt viewers. you could try inserting them between your posts or under your heading
