Looks like you have plenty of room on the left, under the navigation for a wide sky scraper. My site does well with them placed there. Also, i'd match the background of your page, so that there wont be a border around the ad. :)

Hmn I tried to do no border thing, but I found that when ads stood out with border matching color scheme they performed a bit better.

Do you think a sky scraper would be better then a 180x150 button?
Maximum of 3 ad unite sper page right?

    So i cant have both?

Also you seem to have collected all of your ads in the top half of the page.

My advice would be to put one of the ad-blocks (the two-center or the top-links) in the bottom either under the last posting/paragraph or just before the last one.

The tricky thing is that the more ads you put on, the less you get paid per click (as an average, the first ad pais most and the last ad pais the least. Hence, the more ads the lower click price average). On the other hand the more ads, the higher the chance of the "potential clickee" to see something to his liking.

I don't know if anybody has the final answer to the right ammount of ads, but I've had some succes with limiting the ammount to two blocks, one that catches your eye when looking for any kind of link-menu, and one in the bottom (if its a blog or forum) or in the top (like your four link ad-block).

If you have relatively high paying keywords, you definitely want your audience to click the top two-three ads. Payout should increase this way.

Ok, I moved some stuff around, removed bg and borders from ads.

Place one at header, one near menu and one near bottom.

    What do you guys think?

placement in \html : header ad -> menu ad -> footer ad

Header ad even appears under the header image which is supposed to be good i hear :D

Looked it over... Like the top ad very much.

On a side note I had a quit laugh when I noticed the ad for "holistic cat food".

All in all you should be doing quite well now.

If you get more than a hundred uniques a day over a month or so, you can make reliable stats on the average amount of clicks and click prices. Maybe it will then be a good time to consider a fewer amount of ads, and se if average click prices go up and or if click-through rates goes down

I have about 150-250 uniques per day depending on the day.

Are you using channels to find out what ads are working and what ads aren't?

I believe the biggest secret to successful AdSense placement is tracking what is working (and leave it alone!) and replace what isn't working. I believe you can double or even triple your CTR just by watching the channels and sticking with the winners.

When I switched to using channels I discovered the bad ads within ONE DAY. Changing those made a huge difference within one day again.

Yup, give it a shot. If you see any really low channels with low CTR (or no clicks at all) you know what you can mess with. If you move an ad unit and the CTR goes down, you know you messed up :)

Tracking channels also helps you see if making one ad a different color helps, or if changing an ad unit's size helps.

    Wow.

The header ad and the sidebar button almost never get pressed.

all clicks come from the bottom 460 banner just below the content!

That means people are actually reading your content and then deciding what to do... You should try giving them more choices with, say, a large rectangle 336x280 ad instead :) see how that works out for a few days.

I just re-read this thread, and discovered the good advice hidden in the middle. You should be reaping little greeen reps for this one ;) (ups - I forgot the rule; don't talk about reps).

Anyways, thax for pointing me in the right direction as well. I don't quite have high enough numbers yet to make statistical sense from, but never the less this will come in handy some time this year (he said with a notion of high hopes barely hidden in his voice).
