its 10 to 1 ratio. 10 people click on footer for every 1 who clicks on either side or header.

Hmn... Interesting.

 

if your leaderboard at the top of the page isn't working, you can try a link unit of the same size in its place. the link unit one one of my sites is currently my best performer.

 

That's very good... but doesn't really mean a thing if we don't know what kind of page it's sitting on. How the page is build, how it looks and so on and so forth...

Let's at least have a describtion of the kind of page it's doing so well on.

 

replced the sidebar button with 160x600 skyscraper.

Will give it a week to see how it performs.

 

The replacement sky scraper in sidebar instead of button is performing about 5x better with higher CTR and but ads pay about 2x less then footer ads.

Amazing.

 

I take it from reading this, that you've ended up a true adsense whore just like the rest of us, putting allmost max number of ads in there simply because that's where the money is

You have done it excacly the way I did it (and redoing it) on a new blog I'm (re-)making. Only thing is though:

Have you tried making the top ad just a 4-link ad?

The top ad is the weak spot right now am I correct? Maybe turning it into a 4-link ad will do the last trick, I dunno - just wondering...

All in all I find it a beautifull piece of work. Congratz on that - and the money rolling in from now on

 

Yes the header is very poor performaer, almost no one clicks on it.


Sidebar is performing nearly as good as footer. Which is good.

Ill give this setup few more days then will replace header with adlink unit
