please take a look at my Guitar Hero site and give some feedback as to what improvments could be made. Including colors, whether image of text ads, placement, ect.

    Thanks in advance

Wow... very nice site, brendangall. It's full of interesting content and nice graphics... it's easy to navigate.

You ads blend well into the content. Those little 468x60 banners get quite a few clicks on my sites. They're underrated by other adsense publishers, if you ask me. You'll do well with them.

From my experiences, google search gets very little use. I took it off my site, but perhaps it will do better on yours. Same thing with those long link units-- they require a under to click, then follow a second link in order for you to get paid. Not worth it, in my opinion. I usually just stick 3 banners, scrapers, or leaderboards on a page for best results.

Placement is good on your site. You might want to consider another banner near the bottom. Often, when people get finished reading a web page, they're scrolling around looking for something to click on-- banners near the bottom work well.

I am going to redo the navigation to include all the games, i was thinking about making it link unit style then putting the link unit on the top of that.

Would it be better to use the red instead of blue for the 468x60?

There is a block ad at the end of the post do you mean put it under the comments?

    Anyone with any other suggestions?

What about putting a small block where the newsletter thing is and moving it to the other side and removing the "Buy Guitar Hero 3"?

The Adsense-knowledge part of me says change the ad text to red so blends well... but my instinct says go with blue--the blue draws my eye and forces me to read the words in the ads.

If I were you, I'd try it both ways and see which performs better.

I think a well-blended block ad where the newsletter thing is will do well....

Block ad at the end of the post... hmmm... maybe I'm confused... I see one under the "rumors" heading. (Good placement.) I see one under the "wishlist" heading. (Good placement again.) Then I scroll down and see no more. I'd stick another little banner right below or above the RSS feed line. ...when people finish reading stuff, they'll be anxious to click something handy.

This site is very good, IMO. Just curious-- how's it been performing up until now?

Ohh i forgot i only put the adsense block at the bottom on single pages.

Site is doing pretty good. Just got a little traffic spike due to christmas. Not making as much as i would like, but i decided against an mfa theme for this site becuase i actually like it.
