Ad Unit vs. Link Unit

Link units look alot nicer and less like ads but the user has to click through two levels of links before owner gets money.

Does anyone have thoughts on Ad Units compared to Link Units? Which is more effective for you, ad unit or link unit?

AS units are better no doubt. Adlink makes about 10% from the total.

I've seen that it depends on the page on where the ad links are placed. Sometimes the ad links have search terms more appealing than the ones of the ad units a get a better ctr.

I must admit to being surprised, but my Adlinks unit brings in about 40% of my total. I thought the double-layer wouldn't work well, but it seems to. I've had next to nothing from Search though

I was also very surprised by Adlinks. After setting up a channel to monitor how they perform I'm now seeing that it generates almost 50% of my total Adsense revenue!

The links do nothing on my site. Seems like they should, but they don´t.

Well, Ad units showing 4 ads is better than a link unit with 4 links... why ? Ads appearing first pay more than the once following it....let me explain, a click on the 4th link from the ad unit would fetch you more $$ than a click on the 5th link of the choosen link (from the link unit) for the same keyword..

I believe now that new browsers all have Google search built-in and with easy access, Search is indeed a little useless on sites anyway. Mozilla and Opera, on the other hand, must be making a lot of money on this.

    I respectfully disagree :)

I have Adsense search on my site (www.clown-ministry.com), and had lots of search queries last month. More important than the revenue (icing on the cake, in my case) is finding what my readers are looking for -- a nice source of new article ideas.
