Ad URL color

When the adverts url below the ad text does appear what performs best for you?

blending the url with text of the ad...
matching a bold or darker color subject line....
or even blend as much as possible to the background of your site...
    or something different....

I currently for the most part keep mine as the same color of the text part of the ad.

My most active area I currently use darker greens as they blend well with the layout design color scheme. I have also been experimenting with using red this month(totally random color to mix things up) I have been using the red with the greens as text and subject alternating I have mostly used green for the url. I have noticed an increase in CTR since adding red and alternating colors. But blending the overall ad with the site had increased my CTR a few months back so blending is good for me overall.

IMO Making the url the same as the subject color would make them stand out more. Is this a good thing? I am sure url's influence the visitor since they do me.

I have also went red, whereas my sites theme is blue. The red links have increased ctr pretty well.

Isn't that against the TOS? Except in some types of ads, like 468*60 banners, the url is not shown by default. You are not supposed to make any part of the ad invisible.

However, what the topic starter had in mind while asking the question was the "link" and not "url" in google adsense terminology!

I have sent an email to Google to confirm this as I have the small url hidden in the banner.

imjustagirl - I like having the ads blend in with the main content of the site but currently testing different blends.

    Thanks everyone for your input.

I should say I never wanted to make the text url invisable. I know that is a TOS issue but maybe just a lighter green if the text area is a medium green and the subject darkgreen or red for example... I think I will stay with the same color as the text for now and just try alternating a blue along with the red.

What I really need an acount manager :p :D
