    Must people I know have adblock software installed and I was just wondering if anybody has noticed a decline in revenue because of it. Surely at some point it's got to start affecting advertising revenue.

    Yes, definately it will for ad-based services.

    I wouldn't worry about it too much, because I believe people turn to Adblocker when websites are stupid with advertisements.
    However, when users realize their favourite services close, they will realize that advertisements pays the bills.

    We'll begin to realize that our favourite services will start to charge for services, and because people will pay for them, nobody will lose out but the users so they will start to allow ads on them sites.

    On the other hand, people are turning to other methods of advertising such as link building, sponsorships, inline ads, etc.
