Add Placement Review for new record label site

hey guys, I am hoping I can score a few comments and reviews for the blog section of my site.

This is for my record label. I am really sick of record labels targeting downloaders to blame for their poor sales so I decided to try out a new idea.

This site is the front end for my idea, where I want to use advertisements to help pay for promotion and distribution costs to give more back to my artists by growing a blog for the first phase.

That is only half of the plan. Traffic is the key to my idea, and revenue from ads is only one quater of the business plan. But what I would like to do before I move on is ask some more experienced web masters if my add format can be improved on?

what are the ads on your site? i only see a joomla site with myblog component but i dont see any ads

 

The adds are on the right on the blog, and are also used as text adds in the actual blog posts

 

I did have adense on the right, but i wasnt getting any click so i converted it to auctionads.

Now i am getting clicks but no conversions.

The adsnense withing the articles seem to be doing ok

 

slipping in adsense ads between text paragraphs can draw users eyes towards the ads a bit more.
