    Hey,

I've been working on this (http://dodesign.us) for a little while now, and I'm finally getting organic traffic. I've been really careful (don't want to make site look spammy), so I only have one place (under posts like this one). Where do you think it is appropriate for me to place ads? I was thinking on the main page under the first post, place that half-size banner ad, and a box ad on the sidebar.

    What do you think?

From personal experience I would recommend placing two 300 x 250 text ads in the side bar. One at the beginning and the other at the end.

I don't know.... the small half banner hardly gets noticed but maybe that's your intention anyway to try not to make it look spammy. But if that's the case of not wanting to get people's attention, then why place it there in the first place? I think a 250 x 250 Square should be more reasonable....
