Adense review for my blog

Hiya

Can you review my blog, A Pilots Life please, in relation to the google ads. Comments on ad placement, sizes etc are welcome.

Also most of the time the ads are very relevent to my content but occasionally they are completely different. When they are different they are normally ads about blogs. Does anyone else using the blogger platform experience this?

i think you must add one ads unit above your comments

 

i think you should blend the colors of your ad units with the blog more.

 

the blog ads problem in a blogger account is more than common, if you read the forums regularly you'll fall upon those questions.

as for your ad placement, I don't like the mistake you've made, about the background colors not matching your page background. And also some placement, you need more adlink blocks and put a 336x280 on top of your content too.

Its a nice blog and a pleasure to read but the ads don't really stand out. Remember google only allows 3 ads per page. Ads at the bottom of the page rarely get any attention. You could scrap the ad at the bottom and add a skyscraper ad in the right bar. The link unit at the top this takes you to a bunch of google search results. This is ok but i think people might be less likely to follow them since after they click they might feel they are being coaxed into clicking ads. A 728x90 leaderboard ad might work nicely in its place, Must make sure it blends into your site though.

I have now improved the background colours of my ad units to make sure they blend in. I have also replaced the link unit at the top with a 468x60 banner and replaced the 250x250 ad unit with a 160x600 skyscraper down the right hand side. The aim of this is to allow more room for ads to be displayed therefore hopefully grab more attention from my visitors.

At the moment I have removed to block of ads from the very bottom because is was going to try and find a better place for my third ad unit. Any suggestions without making the top of my blog just look like loads of ads. I was thinking maybe a banner below the first post but I have been having trouble setting that up on blogger.
