    Hey guys,

So I've been doing fairly well with my new site... www.listentoourband.net

I had a leaderboard and large rectangle in the content that was getting me $2/day.

Originally I had a domain name and it would forward visitors to my geocities plus site.... which was just a pain in the *** and screwed up search engine ranking.

So therefore, I moved my site to a better host...and finalized things today.

After the long process of uploading/fixing everything, I have realized that adsense ads on the main page do not like to show up now. I find it hard to believe that there arent any relevant ones... because before the change, there were tons of great ads. Is it because Google hasnt spidered my site recently?

    Will it change by itself?

    Thanks

Yes, it usually resolves itself, however on your site, I am not seeing even PSAs. Are you sure you have loaded your code correctly?

Yes, you need to wait for google to visit your site again. The ads should return to being more relevant soon.

yeah your cade is correct and when adsense spiders your pages you will find ads there. You must have chosen the option to keep ad space blank when ads are not available in the adsense control panel.

How long does google usually take to spider it again? I am losing out on a lot of clicks... I'm getting a ton of impressions today. :( figures. Weird that the other pages work...but the index ones are blank

Looks like google has crawled ur page and has decided to show PSAs. Even the google adsense preview tool is showing no ads. This tool works for all pages.. ie even if u create a page and test it immediately the tool shows the ads. So I think google has no relevant ads for your page. Try playing around with your content as you test.

Is this site still on geocities, or in the process of being moved?

For the firt time I noticed yahoo ads in a pop up on your site, which is breaking google tos.

If you are on a free hosting site that is displaying ads, I'm fairly certain you are not allowed to display google ads per the free host- not to mention if google notices this, you will be banned for life.

Musicmysoul, I don't blame you for trying to find the most cost effective way for getting your site hosted-

But your site is worthwhile- You said it generates approx 1.50 a day, For goodness sakes cough up the 3.99 a month and put the site on godaddy or another real hosting service. Why are you messing with this free hosting crap?
You are risking your entire adsense account.

    Just a P.S.
It can take up to 3 days for a domain name ip change to resolve world wide (according to my host). So if your domain is on a new real host, there can be glitches until the new ip propigates.

Yeah, I did change to Godaddy.com

If you are checking the geocities link, popups appear because I cancelled my ads free account.

    I'm not using geocities anymore.

Probably because the first time Google found your site it was without the www (most likely a link from another site who didn't add the proper www).
