Adsense Ad Pollution due to many sites in account

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by clickbuild, Oct 2, 2006.

Since adding a number of new sites to my Adsense account I am noticing some cross-pollution from one site to the other.

For example, lets say I have one site about widgets and one about floobies - and let's say they are both toys (ie. same category).

On my "widget" site I am seeing relevant ads for widgets, however, there are also ads for floobies at times - sometimes big ol' 336 single ad - ads.

What's weird is that the "widget" site does not mention floobies in any way shape or form. The only connector is the adsense account.

Anyone else seen this? Any fixes?

    Thanks,

I've seen this weird behavior when I first create a new site, but it always seems to fix itself after a few hours.

Interesting you have noted that. I have seen this myself and untill the g media bot spends a few days on each site then there seems to be as you say ads that would fit perfect in my other site but have nothing to due with my current site. It is interesting to see.
Do you see this going away after a few days and some g media bot activity?

Have you tried using channels? I can help you get more detailed info on your adsense performance in an individual site and may help Google Adsense associate a site with particular adsense unit.
