    Hi,

On a section of my site it has not been doing that well when costing the amount that I am earning per click. I am earn pennys per click to what I should be.

I have alot of good keywords in that section including: finance, web hosting, affiliate marketing, etc.

I didn't think much of it until today when I noticed that the earnings is gone way down even further.

I then looked at that section of the site as I normally do and had noticed that the ads were targeted, but once I got a little deeper into the site where the articles where actually located I had noticed that on every page that actually listed the article, all the ads were roughly the same and were not targeted at all. Alot of them seemed like MFA sites as there was one with ebay.com on it.

After seeing this, it immediately new that I could have been earning 4 - 6 times more revenue to what I have been earning on this section if the ads were targeted as instead of it showing finance ads it was showing ebay ads and search engine submission software ads and things. Nothing to do with finance.

So I then looked at Adsense and found the following:

    https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23168&topic=8441

After implementing that around each article so that I just have the articles content and no other content on the page as the article is the main part of the page and that is the content that I want to target the ads to, I had refreshed my page about 3 times and waited and then the ads were alot more targeted again.

I tried refreshing the page a few times without that implemented and they were just not getting targeted.

If I didn't find that url on Google and not known about that then I were about to email Google about it telling them that there is something wrong on my pages as the ads are not targeted and I am seeing the same ads on alot of pages even though they are totally different topics.

Hopefully my CTR and my earnings per click will go back to normal now.

I was also wondering if anybody else use these tags within their pages so that they can target the ads to revelevant content in the page rather than having untargeted ads on your site.

I have an article section on quite a few of my sites and I have looked at two sites so far and notice that on both sites that the adsense ads that are actually showing on the article page are all untargeted.

I have looked at articles that have been submitted to my site going a month back and they have had 10+ visitors and the ads are untargeted.

When I check say about 1 and half months back then the ads seem targeted. I don't know what to do, I now don't think them tags have nothing to do with it. I just think that Adsense robots have taken long to crawl my site.

But then again I just don't really get it as I have just gone to some of the first nearly aded articles and clicked on them and they are not targeted. I wait a while and click on them and still not targeted. I wait a little while again and click on them and then some of them become targeted. I wait a little longer and click on the rest that are not targeted and then their ads on them become targeted aswell. All this takes about 5 - 10 minutes.

So why are all the pages that has had 10+ visitors and have been listed on my site going back a month are showing untargeted ads.

    I am loosing money.

I have things like "search engine submission" & "bed & breakfast" ads showing on finance article pages. There is not even any search engine submission or bed & breakfast keywords on them pages.

The pages are purely all finance related keywords.

What do you think I should do in this situation.

Do you think I need to contact google or does it take 30 months before you site starts showing relevant ads, which I don't think it would at all.

Sorry about keep posting. But I had enough and had emailed Google about it. There is definately something wrong with my account or something.

I have noticed that all the articles listings that I have all have roughly the same ads showing and these ads are mainly lower paying MFA ads plus they have nothing to due with the topic that my pages are about.

They are showing ebay clothing products and things on a page that is totally about finance and loans.

Due to this my earnings for the day is extremely down and my CTR is also down, but the major thing that I have noticed is my earnings per click. It is peanuts. I am earning more per click in the free online games section of my site than what I am earning from my web hosting, fiancial and affiliate marketing articles.

I am finding that it seems to only be the article sections on both sites that seem to have this ads problem.

I also find on other new sites that I have, everytime my site is updated which is done on a daily basis as they are price comparison sites, well when I go to them they always show my alternative ads. But when I refresh the page a little later they start showing ads again.

I don't know why this is happening either as the keywords don't really change much as they are just directly based on a certain topic/niche.

So far I have not heard from Google, hope they hurry and sort it out. I am sure they will, but the quicker the better for me.

Hopefully this will be the last email I will send to them this month as I have sent 3 emails this month so far, which have all been about different things.
