    Hi All,

Putting together a site, lets say the theme is cars. Each page will be based on cars in a certain area e.g. New York etc... - trying the Adsense preview tool displays cars for sale in New York - but when putting the website live the ads are for cars for sale in California!!

On the New York page, New York appears in the title, in the meta tags (both keywords and description) in a H1 heading, at least once in each paragraph - yet California doesn't appear once on the page!!!!!

Even the only link in to the page is with anchor text of 'Cars For Sale New York'

It has been doing this for a few days since going live - maybe its just a time thing - but so annoying when I am making it so obvious which area I'm targeting!

    Any ideas ??

Where do you live, in california?
Adsense preview tool allows you to geo target for the country, not the city. In reality, advertisers can target US states too. So what you see on preview tool may not really apply for your state.

Yeah, text and title matters, but the location matters as well. There is nothign kmuch you can do about it.

    Thanks for the reply.......

Actually even more of a surprise because I'm based in the UK using a UK ISP and hosting company!

Gave an example in US terms just simply because the majority of posters are from the US (not that I don't think anyone would have understood from the UK towns)

Just really deters from what I am trying to achieve that's all
