Adsense ads on the left or below content?

    I tend to have 460 by 90 either below the title or mid content, but where should I place the other one, a skyscraper on the left quite close to the content and below navigation or a large rectangle at the bottom. I know there are variables, but what seems to have better impact on click through. My click through is about 10% at the moment. I am thinking about having it on the left because it tends to run alonside the content so the ads are visible as the reader goes through the article but also because I can place it in a template and therefore make changes sitewide quickly.

    A vertical skyscraper on the left is your best option.
