    Hello everyone, I just started a new blog (www.aimonkey.com) and there is a problem, I put adsense on it and I get about 3 clicks from about 600 visitors / 1200 impressions. Why? What am I doing wrong?

    Google is not targeting the ads. For example i got an add saying "Learn Financial Modelling" on your site.
    On more reason, as I see it, could be that you are not pushing your ads to the visitors meaning that the ads are discrete and well blended.
    Thumb up for your not so intrusive advertising.
    However, for higher Click Through Rates you should emphasize more on the ads.

    You should try tu put your important content between these tags:
    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->
    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
    I have doubts about this method and I dont use it, but given the fact that adsense is misjudging your content, this might help.

    It will take sometime for Google bots to crawl your site properly and show appropriate ads. :)

    Right now it's offering what it think is the correct ads. I see how to draw a funny "insurance man" and the ads are related to insurance agents. I know thats not the proper ads for your content but I've noticed that Google reads the closest words to the ad.

    I had a similar problem on Pennyroll.com I fixed it by adding a small tag line just above the ad with a few keyword that were more closely related to the topic of the website.

    Also even though it's a bit more obtrusive I would bet that if you replaced the small pink background ad with a large 336 text ad with a white background no border and pink ad links you would get much better results.

    If it doesn't work you can always try something else. Nice looking site by the way. :)

    468 x 60 is possibly the biggest ad format to annoy the users. And adsense ads suck with 468 x 60.
