adsense advice on 2 blogs please

Hello

Need some adsense advice please.

Have been reading the 300x250 ad size block is the best one to use.

so have used it above the post on this blog :

http://westcountrypubs.just-superb-products.com/

and below the post on this blog

http://gardening.just-superb-products.com/

is that ok or would you change it?

In my opinion:
-the ad at the first link should blend better in the theme (black background, black border and so on)
-the ad at the second link should use different colors for the title / text / url

 

ok have blended the first blog adsense ads,

what colours would you advise for the 2nd blog?

 

for the second one, i think they are ok. The ads are eye-catching and not very disturbing.
At least, this is my opinion.

not many clicks

but I have not really promoted it that well, just using organic traffic and platinum seo plugin.

I did submit my rss feed to a few rss feed aggregates and they do hit the site around every 30 hours

googlebot is hitting it well and there are a small amount of links on google itself

it is slowly getting more uv's, but really it needs x10 to x50 to really kick in.

not sure what else to do really as I cannot afford to pay to promote it

will leave it with organic traffic for now and hopefully it will build up a momentum (it is slowly already, now getting twice as many uv's per month this month than last month)

so hopefully 2 or 3 months down the line it should start paying out.

It is important that you blend your adsense ads to your page. And don't forget to get more traffic.

 

well i think i have got the westcountrypub one blended in

the gardening one i think is blended in well, unless anyone can suggest better colours.

well traffic wise have tried facebook, stumbleupon, friends etc

westcountrypub was getting lots of traffic from stumbleupon (well lots of traffic for me, an average of 500 hits for the last 2 months), suddenly around the 10th traffic dropped drastically

not sure why as the googlebot is still hitting it as well as the ask bot and the yahoo slurp bot

was thinking about directory listings but these cost quite a bit (ranging from $99 to $300) I do not have that sort of money at present.

will have to rely on organic traffic for now until i can get some money to promote it.

need to get some more reviews on the pub one, will have to put a rally cry out to some people
