My new blog, http://www.jaygeiger.com, is showing a crazy amount of PSAs. I would say it is showing pretty close to 100% PSAs. This kind of stinks because I just recently got a ton of traffic for one day only from ShoutWire. A couple thousand of visitors came and I think I missed out on a few bucks.

I just changed my blogs's description to have a few different phrases in it. Does anybody know how long it will take Google to pick up the description change? I feel this blog description is really going to make a difference in reducing the number of PSAs drastically but was wondering what kind of update I could expect if this really is the case.

you might have PSAs because you have virtually no metatags of any value at all for adsense and SEs
adsense uses meta tags even more than google search.
additionally - remove the word "Geiger" from your title meta tags - it has no value at all for SE and i guess your name is far from what you want to market. name belongs to about section and may be copyright page - that's it.
the first word of a meta tag always is of greatest importance.

    then
remove the word blog from the blog description - else you get as now plenty of boring blog ads

after several weeks the new description will show up in new ads appearing

You sure you are not banned? If not you may have a look at this https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23168&ctx=en

    Google Preview tools says this:

    1. No ads for selected geographic area - I did not select a Geographic area so this is untrue
    2. Pages are not crawled - Untrue. Your site is crawled by google.
    3. Page contains sensitive content - This can be true the word Gambling raises a Red flag.

Remove the word and check. Good Luck!!!

You need to be more specific. He should change the contents of his title tag, but other "meta tags" will have no impact on Adsense or SERPs.

    Use Section Targeting.

Also use an Alternate Ad so that PSAs dont show.

have you seen how much relevent are each posts to other posts on the same page? As far as I am conserned totaly irrelevent.

Try to make related topics or make only one post to appear at a time that may change PSAs.

    good luck

If that was true then the cached copy of the page would also show PSAs. It does not so it must be something else.

There was no description previously. Perhaps when Google updates the cached copy this will change.

I don't know if this has changed, but last time I asked Google about this, they said that it can take the adsense bot up to 2 wks to get an accurate reading of a page's topic- and especially on a new site or blog this could happen.

Doesn't it strike you as odd though that the cached copy would have ads though?

I see ads on this link http://www.jaygeiger.com/2006_04_01_archive.html which has the word gambling too... Anyways no problem in trying...if removing the word does not help then waiting for Google's reply is the only option.

This had happened to me once. I emailed them and they said its a technical fault which has been rectified.

    Dear Friend,
It may look like that but you can check march archives PSAs but see april archives it displays ads but those are not relevent to atleast the first post see on the page that leads to analysis of relevance between each posts.

Or just it may be problem or trick with google as I experienced with one of my blogs (health related). There what ever the post, my whole blog was showing only URINARY TRACT INFECTION ads for fifteen days continuosly which was totally irrelevent to posts made.

Thats the only reason to that interpretation of "RELEVENCA BETWEEN EACH POST"

    good luck
