ADSENSE on Blogger blogs??

How does one put up his own ADSENSE account on a Blogger Blog?

Can anyone shed light on this and if it is worth while to do this, also how to promote these blogs as a tool to promote your other sites if you have any advice on this.

My Co-op FAQ is one too.

Just paste it in the template I guess. They have extensive FAQs so it must be there but I worked with the templates and it's pretty easy to get code in there.

As far as promoting it goes, I think blogs are 95% down to quality (amusing/enjoyable/educative/interesting) content.

Copy the code that Google provide you with for the adsense block, then simply paste it into the template on the blogger backend.

If you are having trouble, let me know and I'll chuck it in for you.

There is a tab that says template when you click on the actual blog title in the dashboard.

    It's fairly straightforward...

You can put adsense AC, just edit the template in dream weaver, pu the ad code where you want to see them.

I think it is same promotion techniques that you will need for normal sites. Infact there are some specific blog sites helping you to promote your blogs.(blogexplosion)

Not all blog templates are the same.

It also depends on where exactly he wants the ads to sit.

No. They do vary a bit although I'm 99% sure that all the default templates are all pure CSS driven.

Now if you were using WordPress, you'd find that nearly all of the WP blogs are actually using the same HTML but only changing styles to make the design change...

It's the best way to do it IMO.

It is indeed and it drives me nuts...

There are so many features missing from the blogger engine that are there as standard in 90% of the other blogging engines.

Trackbacks are one of my biggest gripes, but to be honest the biggest issue I have with the blogger engine is that you are kind of reliant upon the blogger servers in order to make any new posts.

I actually tried to reply to your comment a few times now but it just won't publish...

If this were wordpress then it'd be a sinch...

    Maybe...

But that's exactly what I'm saying is the issue.

If it were my servers, I'd call the host and verbally abuse him until the issue was solved.
    (Only paid hosts though)...

In this instance there's nothing that can be done purely because it's a free service that isn't really designed to be a real money spinner for it's users.

It is making money for Google and the users SE, look at how folks cross promote all their sites with these blogs and put ADSENSE on these pages.

Have you seen these blogs come up high in the SERP's

Where is yours at in the SERP's

Mine isn't as high as I would like...
I was quite heavily penalised for a few things I did on it.

Does well on Y and M though

But yes. I know that there are sites that make money both for the users and for Google, but there is never any guarantee that the blogger servers will work at all.

    That's my only point...

You should probably update your template to one of the newer ones. You can use mine if you want; http://blogamania.blogspot.com, although obviously you will have to adapt the code to your own profile, links, image storage, etc.

Post a link to your blog if you want to keep the same template and someone can tell you where you should drop the Adsense code into.
