Adsense Placement Review - Kinda Urgent.

    Ive actually emailed google about my site

    http://www.maxiarcade.com, in regards to the placement of the ad within the game spotlight area...Is this ok do you think? or would it break googles policies...

    Its been almost 24 hours since i sent them an email and the ad had only been running that way for a few hours before i sent it.

    Please let me know your thoughts.

    I have a feeling they will tell you to either put a border around the image or a vertical line to seperate the ad from the image. At least that seems to be the response that most have gotten from the Adsense team recently.

    What about the "game spotlight" header above Sponsored Links..is that ok like that?.

    And in regards to the images, does that mean id have to do that on the top of the categories page as well?

    It is just my opinion, but I think the game spotlight header would be okay as the Sponsored Links heading is closer to the ad. I suspect they will recommend that you change the image on the category pages though.

    You've definitely have done the correct thing by asking the Adsense team for the official word though and definitely let us know what their response is.

    (I hope they say the way you've done the Sponsored Links is okay, because that is pretty clever. :) )

    Say with the border beside the image. How about something similiar to what you see on this site,

    gamesuno.com

    but down all the categories on the frontpage and alongside the games on the category pages.

    You can ad an N/A image there

    I would say loose the pop-up. It's anoying. Oh you have a pop-up on close too

    thats not my site :) i wish it was...but you can see what his done with his thumbs on every google instance. Interesting use of full banner ads too...works well on a site like that.
