Adult Content Hosting?

Discussion in 'Web Hosting' started by scott2342, Mar 7, 2014.

Can anyone recommend a hosting provider for adult content. I know it's against the rules for a lot of hosting companies. But the material would only be embedded, does that make a difference?

Please let me know if anyone has recommendations.

    Thanks

The only reason it is against the rules at a lot of hosts, is that most people posting adult content do not own the copyright to the material. This leaves the host to deal with a ridiculous amount of DMCA requests for somebody who might be paying $5/mo. for hosting. Just not worth it.

Mosts decent hosts should allow what you are looking to do.

I have hosted a popular adult site on Hostgator and have had no problems. I've contacted the support before doing it and they did understand it, but like already mentioned I should be posting legal content. And for DMCA complaints, I always made it easy for people/organisations to get in touch with me personally (by e-mail) and get an answer within 24 hours.

Unfortunately, most major DMCA complaints go straight to the host/datacenter, because they know the host will fix it. They normally don't even bother sending emails to contacts on the website.

Aha! I guess I was just lucky then hah. Or.. my content was legally paid for so probably I didn't receive any complaints.

I'm sure, most probably you can get shared webhosting for your website, moreover if you're not hosting content itself. But for sure, cheap VPS is a best alternative.

I have used several over the years. I currently use Arvixe for a large collection of sites, but you should be aware that their tech support is atrocious. If you have someone you can rely on to assist with IT, or you have enough experience in it yourself for when/if you encounter a problem, then I would recommend them, for their decent up-time and low cost.

Generally, it's always good to host adult content websites under VPS, as that gives completely dedicated resources, private environment and significantly less limited with providers' TOS.

Just choose the host that suits your needs and provides constant and uninterrupted services and support.
I know hostplay.com is a good offshore web host. Try to contact them directly and see if they have meet your specific requirements.
I like their pricing... features look nice and unique.
